Instagram has removed the option to Repost Instagram Stories for some users. Following this recent update, these users are snooping across the internet to know how they can repost Instagram stories. If you are among these users, we have got you covered. Keep reading to know how To Repost Instagram Stories when Instagram doesn’t give you the option to do so.
Social media applications are on a constant roll. All of the famous social media giants are working on bringing updates on the platforms to enhance the user experience. Like all the social media applications, Instagram is in a continuous race of adding new features and removing some old ones. However, some of the recent changes have left the users a little confused.
Some users are unable to spot the button that once helped them repost their Instagram stories. The majority of these users aren’t happy with this recent development but the good news is, a new feature is being implemented instead. What is this new feature? Let’s find out
In a recent event, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri has announced that they are bringing some considerable changes to the platform to promote more original content. He has also stated that “Instagram would be moving away from photo content, focusing instead on video, shopping, and other “entertainment.” “We’re no longer a photo-sharing app,” Adam further added.
He further stated, “The number one reason people say that they use Instagram, in research, is to be entertained. So people are looking to us for that.”
While addressing the new update, the company claimed that changing the way users post to their stories will encourage more original content. It will promote the content that most of the users want to see.
In a recent statement, Instagram said, “We’ve seen from research that people prefer to see original photos and videos in Stories from the people they care about”. “The goal of our test is to better understand how people feel about this type of content and ultimately improve the Stories experience.”
Although Instagram has removed the option to repost the Instagram stories, it has launched another option that helps you share posts from your feed to your stories. Although, it’s a bit confusing users seem quite happy with it.
Previously, the post contained a triangle “share” button on them that was used to share the posts to your stories, but now this button doesn’t exist for many users. Instead of this, Instagram is working on another feature “reshare” sticker. This new feature is a bit complicated as it has more steps than the previous feature.
Now, if you want to share a post your Instagram story, you will have to start with your Instagram story and either taking a photo or selecting a background for your post. Next, tap on the smiley icon in the upper right bar on the screen and click on the reshare button.
As you tap on the “reshare” option, you will get all the posts that you have seen recently. Select the post you want to share and it will appear as a sticker on top of your selected background.
It is important to know that, this option isn’t currently available for all the users. It is also unclear when this option will be available for the rest of the users. Also, it isn’t clear whether the company is going to roll this option or decides to keep the previous option.
