Why Is Yung Filly Facing Sexual Assault Allegations?

British rapper and YouTuber Yung Filly, whose real name is Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is facing two additional sexual assault charges linked to an alleged incident during his 2024 tour in Australia. These are separate from the charges filed against him in October 2024. According to the BBC, the 29-year-old recently appeared in Perth District Court as the new charges were added.
He now faces six counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault causing bodily harm, and one count of strangulation. The incident reportedly took place on September 28, 2024, in a hotel room in Hillarys, Perth, after a show. The alleged victim is a woman in her twenties. Yung Filly has pleaded not guilty to the original charges and has not yet entered a plea for the new ones. He has been out on bail since October.
In a separate case, Barrientos admitted to reckless driving after being caught speeding over 96mph in November and was charged in December 2024.
