The research task will be made available from Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 10 am to Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 10 am local time. It will be important for the trainers to complete these tasks to get on their way.

Over the course of the season, new parts of the special research will keep unlocking in the game. As per the available information, part two of the Special Research will go live on 5th October 2022.

Below we have provided all the details about September 1 Special Research, Cosmic Companion. We are sharing the information with the courtesy of Reddit.

Tasks for part one are as below:

  • You will have to Catch 15 Pokemon to unlock five Razz berries
  • Next, Make 10 Curveball throws to unlock Staryu encounter
  • Following this, Catch 15 Psychic-type Pokémon to unlock five Pinap berries
  • The Final Rewards for part one is 500 Stardust, 1,000 XP, and a Cosmog encounter.

The Tasks for Part Two include:

  • Give your buddy three treats to unlock Woobat encounter
  • Earn 10 candies walking with your buddy to unlock Staryu encounter
  • Catch 15 Psychic-type Pokémon to unlock Munna encounter
  • Final Rewards: 500 Stardust, 2,000 XP, and a Poffin.

Part three includes the below tasks and rewards:

  • Earn 15 hearts with your buddy to unlock Ralts encounter
  • Send 10 gifts to friends to unlock Staryu encounter
  • Catch 20 different Pokemon species to unlock 25 Poke Balls
  • Final Rewards: 1,000 Stardust, 3,000 XP, and five Pinap berries.

Upon completing all the above tasks you will garner 25 Cosmog Candies, 3,000 XP, and 1,000 Stardust.
