What is Murph Challenge?

It is an amazing and entertaining challenge. A workout consisting of a mile-long run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats and a final mile run – all while wearing a 20-pound vest or body armor.

Challenge has a great secret behind it and is drive from the name Lt. Michael Murphy. Who was a great Soldier and who died during a war with the Taliban in Afganistan?

Lt. Murphy, despite being severely wounded, relayed the position of his unit. He was also an athlete and star student from Penn State who turned down offers to attend law school to join the Navy SEALs instead, as Fox News previously reported.

He received the Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life,” as the official citation read and was spotlighted in the 2013 movie, “Lone Survivor.”

They were killed in a 2005 battle with the Taliban in Afghanistan, according to the Murph Foundation website. He also was the first SEAL to have a ship named after him the guided-missile destroyer Michael P Murphy, was commissioned in summer 2011.

Those who are new to this challege could last it may in 50 minutes as it is tough and intense. There is no problem if you could not even able to finish it under 50 minutes, if it goes 10 minutes more no problem at all.

Those who are Top professional will take just 25 minutes or lesser and the advanced ones will take 35 minutes to complte it. Its quite long, exhausting and time taking challenge.

Murph Challenge Record

World wide records have been set in history. The record-breaking result was found in 2016 by Josh Bridges in 34 minutes and 38.83 seconds, It was jaw-dropping indeed.

Another participant was Hunter McIntyre, the professional athlete, television personality, and fitness trainer, just broke a record Saturday for The Murph Challenge, the yearly Memorial Day tradition to honor a fallen warrior.

17-year-old Tyler Friese just broke the world record for completing 16.75 Murphs in 24 hours. Before Tyler, the world record holder was Lee Davis who has set the record at 16 consecutive Murph workouts completed within 24 hours.

Make This Challenge Part Of Your Routine

Fitness freak people should this every week. Do it exclusively three times a week, and you’ll only be getting about 2.25 hours of hard exercise each week.

Think about it – 6 total miles each week, never more than one at a time, and never more than 2 over 2 days.
