Ivanka is also an author of books, “The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life” written in 2009 and “Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success” written in 2017.
According to a source, all royalties on the sale of these books directly go to Ivanka M. Trump Charitable Fund. The purpose of this charity is the economic empowerment of women and girls.
Ivanka Trump shut down her eponymous clothing brand due to controversy.
Ivanka was criticized by many saying, it is unethical to do a business along with working as an advisor to the president in White House. So that is why she shut it down in July 2018.
But she retained the copyright and intellectual property as associated with her brand, and continued to seek trademarks. Maybe she will try to revive the company once her father left the President`s office.
“When we first started this brand, no one could have predicted the success that we would achieve,” Ivanka said at that time. “After 17 months in Washington, I do not know when or if I will ever return to the business, but I do know that my focus for the foreseeable future will be the work I am doing here in Washington.”

The online sale of products of her brand were dropped 55% within one year, before she closed it. Nordstrom had also dropped this brand from its website and stores. Many of the retailers were not happy with the performance of this brand`s products.
Talking to Washington Post in 2018, The Managing Director of a research firm Global Data Retail Neil Saunders said. “Doing business has become far challenging and such problems will only increase in the future.”
