Why Was Rizal Executed? We all should be aware of Rizal Sacrifices for the Philippine. After the Philippine Revolution, inspired by some of his writings, he executed by the Spanish colonial government for sedition.
After his 1896 execution, He became an icon for the national movement and because of him, philippine got away for independence. He supported peaceful change and executed at the age of 35 on December 30, 1896.

Who Was Jose Rizal?

Rizal’s complete name is José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda. A legendary hero for the Filipino’s.

Rizal was part of the propaganda movement. He connected with people who wanted a change, peace, and independence in their lives.
He stood for the political change for the Filipinos in a non-violent manner. Rizal studied medicine in Manila.

In 1882, he traveled to Spain to complete his medical degree. He was a multi-talentedand a sophisticated person.
The greatest and most famous of all but he was a doctor of medicine, poet, novelist, sculptor, painter, linguist, naturalist, and fencing enthusiast.

How And Why He was Executed?

He was innocent even that he executed. A native firing squad of 8 people executed Rizal. Behind them were eight Spanish soldiers with Mauser rifles, ready to shoot the native soldiers if they refused to shoot Rizal. The natives shot him not just once but twice.

Rizal refused to shot in the back. He said he had not been a traitor to the country or to Spain. But the Spanish captain in charge of the execution told him that he had orders to shoot him in the back.

Rizal agreed, but he firmly refused to kneel or be blindfolded.
It reported that a Dog was wandering around Rizal’s lifeless body, whining. Nobody knows who’s Dog was it.

Born And Death

Dr. Jose Rizal was born on June 19, 1861, and died on December 30, 1896. His burial place was Rizal Park in Manila.

After Rizal’s death on December 31, 1896, changed the Philippines. His death truly affected Filipinos lives.

They were ready to start a revolution against the Spanish government to gain control of the Philippines. As to stop the cruelty they were spreading. Rizal wanted to show he was no traitor and that he was willing to die for his country.
