Blackout Challenge TikTok Took Another Life – Report It Now

The dangerous Blackout Challenge has resurfaced on TikTok and this time it killed another innocent user. The challenge is already flagged dangerous but users are still endangering their lives while taking part in it. Here is how ARCHIE BATTERSBEE passed away after attempting the challenge.

From the blue whale challenge to putting coins into electric circuits, TikTok users have been attempting several dangerous challenges on TikTok. Although we have lost several innocent lives following these challenges people are still getting onto these trends.

The young TikTok users especially are getting trapped by the dangerous TikTok trends and challenges. Several youngsters have got severe injuries following these trends while there are also some who have lost their lives to these trends.

One similar trend that was flagged on TikTok has resurfaced on the app and has taken an innocent life. As per the reports, Archie Battersbee 12, died on Saturday, August 6, 2022, after taking part in the Blackout Challenge.

As per The Independent, Archie Battersbee was found unresponsive by his mother at home after allegedly taking part in TikTok’s Blackout Challenge.

Archie’s mother has claimed that her son took part in n the trend before she found him unconscious at their home in April this year. After battling his severe brain injuries, Archie is declared dead on August 6th. He succumbed to the severe injuries after his life-sustaining treatment was withdrawn.

Archie was a 12-year-old boy from Southend in Essex, England. He lost his life at a young age to some stupid TikTok challenge, this is heart-wrenching.

This is not the first time we have lost a precious life to this trend. Earlier in December 2021, Nyla, Tawainna Anderson’s daughter was found dead in her bedroom after allegedly trying to take part in the challenge. Nyla’s mother warned other parents to check their kid’s phones.

TikTok has, however, flagged the trend on the platform and they have urged users to report the trend. TikTok has condemned this challenge and it has talked about the trend in the following words:

“Our deepest sympathies are with the girl’s family and friends. We do not allow content that encourages, promotes, or glorifies dangerous behavior that might lead to injury, and our teams work diligently to identify and remove content that violates our policies.

“While we have not currently found evidence of content on our platform that might have encouraged such an incident off-platform. We will continue to monitor closely as part of our continuous commitment to keep our community safe.”
