  • tap the + to open in the app. This opens the camera.
  • Now press the ‘Filters’ option from the right-side panel. Scroll to the right, and tap ‘Manage’.
  • You can now see the list of filters. Now, just uncheck the filters you do not use often.

The unchecked ones won’t vanish from the list and you can add them to the list again later whenever desired.

Removing some filters from a video draft

You read it correctly. You can even remove filters from the saved videos. But, unfortunately, you cannot remove filters from posted videos. On Tiktok, you even can add multiple filters to your video.

  • Firstly, launch the TikTok app and locate the draft on your profile.
  • Now tap the draft, then tap ‘Back’. This will open up your editor.
  • Then select ‘Effects’ from the bottom panel. From here, you can now undo all the effects.  
  • You can save changes to the video by tapping ‘Save’.

The ‘Undo’ button removes filters itself in the reverse order in which they were added. There is no option of removing a certain filter of choice. The undo option can be applied as many times as you want.

You can remove the filters which you have added post recording of the video. To do this, tap the ‘Filters’ button on the right-side panel, and select ‘Normal’.

Let’s save you from the trouble. It is only possible if the video has not been posted. For the saved videos in someone else’s device, firstly you have to access it.

The other person can send you the video using any other medium like whatsapp or email (getting better pixel results). Then by using the above steps you can edit the video (remove the filters) in your Tiktok app.
