Who Was Slim 400?
Slim 400 whose original name was Vincent Cohran was a rap star based in California. This late rap star was born in Frankfurt, Germany as his father was stationed there in the US army. Later the family moved back to Los Angeles and Slim 400 grew up in Compton.
The late rap star was signed by the record label Pu$haz Ink (which doesn’t exist anymore). He has released several albums. Some of the songs of Slim 400 that got popularity include, Bruisin, Piru, and Straight Upon Bompton.
After debuting in 2015, the rap star amassed considerable popularity online. On Instagram, he had a fan following of 236,000. On Instagram, he used to post glimpses of his life.
As revealed by The Law Enforcement, Slim died of a gunshot wound on Wednesday 8th Dec 2021, in Inglewood, California. Currently, there isn’t any confirmed information about where exactly was Slim shot. There also is not any information about the suspects while the investigation is ongoing.
How Did Slim 400 Die?
This is not the first time Slim had encountered a tragic shooting incident, in 2019 also, he was shot 9 times and had spent many weeks in the hospital. However, he escaped this close encounter in the past but couldn’t survive the latter incident.
In the year 2019, Slim went through four surgeries. The incident took place when a group of men got off a car and attempted to kill the rap star before fleeing away.
This previous incident took place in Compton when Slim was visiting his family. The information about any prosecution about the past event is not available.
After recovering from the tragic event, Slim took it to his Instagram and wrote, “I wanna thank the staff at the hospital for helpin’ me shake back. I owe ya’ll #Roscoes or #TacoMell 4 life.”
“God I thank whoeva was poppin 4 buyn them shells at Walmart I’m here 4 a reason Hol’Upppp,” he further added.
For people who don’t know much about Slim 400, he was a friend of Young Gangsta, better known on social media as YG. The duo has rolled several albums together and has been together for so many years.
Both YG and Slim were based in Compton and they have grown up together. After realizing their mutual interest in music, they grew closer and have collaborated on many songs.
YG and Slim were both signed with u$haz Ink and some of the tracks they have collaborated for include, Bruisin, Word Is Bond, Goapele Freestyle, and Bompton City G’s.
