However, Twitter has now revealed that they are discontinuing the feature as users didn’t like it much. One of Twitter’s designers Paul Stamatiou revealed that ‘Fleets’ were of “moderate use” and “didn’t work out”.

The TikTok story feature is a new feature video-sharing platform that is planning to roll. The Chinese social media platform has just confirmed that they are trailing a new ‘TikTok Stories’ feature. This new feature is supposed to be very similar to the stories feature of Snapchat, Facebook, and Instagram. It will enable the users to post short videos that will last for 24 hours only. After completing the cycle, the videos will disappear automatically.
While talking about this new feature, a Spokesperson for TikTok told BBC, “We are experimenting with ways to give creators additional formats to bring their creative ideas to life for the TikTok community.”
“We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience,” he further added.
This new feature rolled by TikTok was first discovered by Social Media Consultant Matt Navarra. He shared a screenshot of the feature to his Twitter account with the caption “TikTok Stories what the….” The social media consultant seemed quite amazed to witness the feature for the very first time.

How To Get TikTok Stories
Currently, the TikTok stories feature isn’t available for all its users. TikTok stories feature is at the testing stage and it is just a pilot. Only certain users have access to this feature and these users who have got access are also randomly selected by the app developers. So, there is no way for the users to access this feature until it is rolled for all the users of TikTok. For now, all you can do is, just wait.
If you are an avid user, you might be aware of the fact that every time TikTok launches a new feature, it does an initial trial to check its feasibility. They check the feature’s success before launching it for the majority of users.
If you are selected to be part of the testing stage of the TikTok story feature, you will receive a pop-up that reads, “TikTok Stories” when you launch your app. You will then be greeted by a series of bubbles on the left-hand side of your ‘For You Page’. If you can’t witness any such option so far, it means you are not among the chosen users.
However, this feature will be made available for the rest of the users if it becomes successful. For now, the TikTok story feature is available for a small number of users.
If you are among the initial lucky users, the feature is quite simple to use. You just have to tap on the new story feature; select add new and roll the story from your camera or gallery. The story will remain live for 24 hours and will disappear after that.
