Players come into the spotlight on social media after their outstanding performance in international or franchise cricket. This time the story is something different, people are making memes and mocking Dinda Academy.

Before discussing trolls, first of all, we will discuss what is Dinda Academy? Like many other cricket players who open cricket academies, Ashok Dinda a former right-arm fast bowler has also opened a cricket academy to garnish youngsters.

Why Everyone is Trolling Dinda Academy?

When the cricket is around in India, social media buzzes with appreciation and trolling content. Because people exchange their thoughts about different players and teams on social media.

These days as IPL is underway, when any bowler leaks many runs in a match, a parody account run by a bunch of trollers, starts linking them with Ashok Dinda and his cricket academy. Last time Australian player Pat Cummins was smashed for 49 runs in just three over and Ashok Dinda was trending on Twitter instead of him.

This is not the first time; he was got trolled the previous year as well. Last year Dinda’s former franchise RCB had put a distasteful tweet, due to which he showed his displeasure on social media.

By the why Dinda is the subject for trollers? In his international cricket career, he was considered as run machine because he leaked so many runs in limited over matches. That is the reason people troll him for being runs machines.

Various bowlers had a bad career as compare to Ashok Dinda, still is the target for many trollers out there. If you had liked, cricket related pages on different social media platforms then for sure you will see many Dinda academy memes on it.

Ashok Dinda Cricket Career

Ashok Dinda is a right-arm fast bowler hailing from West Bengal. He started his first-class cricket career back in 2005 and he was part of the Bengal team. He managed to come under international team selectors’ notice and played his first international T20 against Sri Lanka in 2009. And he made his ODI debut in 2010 against Zimbabwe.

In his short international career, he has played 13 ODI matched in which he has managed to take only 12 wickets with an average of 51. He has played 9 T20 matches in which he got 17 wickets with an average of 14.41.

But when we talk about his first-class cricket career, he has done some exceptional work here. He has played 115 first-class matches in which he has got 417 wickets with an average of 28.35.

When we talk about his performance in list A cricket, he has played 92 matches and able to get 141 wickets with an average of 28.47. In franchise cricket, particularly in IPL, he has played for different franchises in his career. He has played a total of 75 matches and took 69 wickets with an average of 30.04.

Ashok Dinda’s Reaction to Trolls

Obviously, it doesn’t feel good when you get troll over social media when it’s not your fault. Same way Ashok is not happy about the current wave on different social media platforms against him.

Putting his displeasure over remarks of RCB on him, he twitted “I have no hard feelings for anyone and have always had a fondness for the team for legends like Virat Kholi, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle. And also since I had once called it home you are surely answerable @RCBTweets.”

It is not good to target a single person for his past. The trollers should be ashamed of themselves. Because at least he has managed to get into India’s international team and played for his country.
