The viral video Spiderpiller is being uploaded by the ‘Official TikTok Science’ handle where the creator claims that they have managed to breed a caterpillar and Spider hybrid. They have named this alien creature ‘Spiderpiller’ and the video is going viral on the TikTok app.
The video that revealed this alien insect was captioned, ‘I made a caterpillar spider in my laboratory. I cal [sic] them Spiderpillars’. Alongside showing the alien insect, the snippet also shows the ‘behind-the-scenes of how the Spidepillar came into existence.
The behind scenes reveal that the eggs of both caterpillar and spider were first put together in a test tube. In the second scene, the video shows the little caterpillar larvae that grow up into a little caterpillar-looking creature. The alien insect had a caterpillar-like body and four legs at the front just similar to a spider.
TikTok users have found the video interesting thus it has garnered more than 1.3 million views so far. It also boasted over 3,800 comments and over 110,000 likes within a few hours of its joining the app.
Although most users have believed the words of the video creator while many others are not agreeing with the weird concept. One TikTok user commented on the video saying it is not a new insect but a lobster moth caterpillar. He further claimed that it is not a hybrid or anything but an insect that existed for quite a long.
