In some recent days a scam website “FINE – live on bscscan now” is making rounds on the internet. Reddit users are warning their fellows to beware of this fraud. Here is how to identify and avoid this scam.
What Is Refinable Scam
Refinable, the major NFT commercial center on the Binance Smart Chain is among very few NFT markets not bounded to Ethereum (CCC: ETH-USD) blockchain. It got the public’s attention a week earlier when it announced that their initial DEX offering is near. Currently, it is live for the clients to participate in.
Before it went live, a scam website pretending to be the official address for FINE has been scamming the clients. After being scammed most people have taken it to Twitter to make others aware of it.
What they actually do is, they are getting a public key that is later hashed by your private key. It is the same with most wallets. So, a public key is only used once, and for the next transaction, they create a new public key.
What the scammers actually need is your “Key Phrase”. To get this key phrase they might contact you pretending to be wallet support. After obtaining it, they will contact your carrier pretending to be you.
They can even hack your phone number and then get access to your mobile wallets. Scammers use these two hacks in most cases. So, it is a kind suggestion to all that, please do not share your Key Phrase with anyone.
