Takeoff was shot dead in Houston, Texas on November 1st, 2022. Reports revealed that Takeoff was shot dead after 2.30 am on Tuesday 1st November 2022 at a bowling alley. Takeoff was shot dead while he was playing a dice game with his uncle and bandmate Quavo and an unidentified person opened the fire.

His funeral was attended by several celebrities including Cardi B. Cardi B is family as she’s Offset’s wife. Takeoff was part of the hip-hop group Migos with Offset and Quavo.

The photos from the funeral of Takeoff featured several celebrities including Cardi B and her husband Offset. The pair was spotted wearing black from top to bottom. For Takeoff’s Celebration of Life, Cardi B was spotted wearing a midi dress and stiletto boots. However, Offset was seen wearing a long black coat with white buttons on the front.

Offset and Cardi both wore sunglasses inside the Atlanta stadium. Quavo alongside Offset took to the stage to give a touching eulogy.

The Migos star said, “[Takeoff] changed the culture of music forever”. He further added, “You changed that flow. That flow came from Take, the originator. The originator of that flow. He changed the music”.

“Lord, give us the strength, just give us some strength. The family and everybody, give us strength. I don’t want to question God, but I just don’t get it.”

In the viral clip Offset further added, “I don’t get you sometimes. And I believe in you, Father,”.

After attending the funeral of Takeoff, Cardi B took to Instagram to pay tribute to the young rapper. She posted pictures and videos of the singer and wrote, “Takeoff your untimely passing has brought a great deal of pain and sorrow to so many lives.”

She further added, “The impact you had in this world was so considerable and we have struggled to grasp this tragedy”.

The WAP singer continued saying that she is “heartbroken” but grateful for all the “precious memories” they shared together. She addressed the untimely passing of Takeoff as a ‘Nightmare’.

“The pain is incomparable”. “The emptiness your brothers are feeling is unbearable and I pray that you give Offset, Quavo and your friends and family the strength to keep going”, Cardi further continued.

Cardi B addressed Takeoff requesting him to send a sign to his mom to assure her that he is watching and said: “As a Migos fan it hurts me to look at pictures and videos of y’all together.”

Talking about the group songs of Migos, Cardi revealed that it “changed the music industry” and “had the clubs lit,” also calling his talent “remarkable”.

She concluded the post by saying, “I pray that you are at peace and in paradise because you deserve every bit of it. I know God opened the heavenly gates for you with a warm embrace. Rest in power TakeOff. I will also love you 4L & after”.
