New Edit Tweet Feature Is Available On Twitter Now
If you are a Twitter Blue user residing in Canada, New Zealand, or Australia, you can follow the below steps to edit your Tweet on the Bird App:
- The first step is to choose the Tweet that you want to edit.
- Next, tap on the three dots that appear in the right-hand-side corner of the Tweet.
- Now, here you will find the ‘Edit’ option alongside several other options,
- As you tap on the ‘Edit’ option you will be redirected to the ‘Edit Tweet’ interface.
- Make the necessary changes that you want to do.
- Once you are done editing your Tweet, tap on the done button to share your edited Tweet with your friends.
Here again, applies a condition! Please note that you can edit your Tweet only within the first 30 minutes of the Tweet being made. Once the Tweet completes its 30 minutes on the platform, it becomes permanent and you will not be able to edit it anymore.
There also will be a slight difference between edited and normal Tweets. Unlike normal Tweets, the edited Tweet will contain a small pencil sign appearing at the top of the Tweet.
Though it is a piece of good news that Twitter has finally rolled out this feature, it comes with several conditions which shouldn’t have been there.
The first condition is it is available for Twitter users in specific countries. Secondly, it is only available for Twitter Blue Users and third, you can only edit a Tweet within the first 30 minutes of it being published.
Well, users do not seem happy about the conditions that Twitter has set for this new feature.
