The developer team has confirmed the schedule as part of the weekly reset. If not any major maintenance notifications take place, fans should consider the downtime that is scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2022.
Further, the Iron Banner currently is scheduled to be hosted two times during the Season 18 of Destiny 2. However, these details might change based on Bungie’s internal plans.
Nonetheless, as per the available information confirmed by Bungie, the Iron Banner will return on September 6 and again on November 15.
In other news from Destiny Two, the game’s official Twitter account has revealed that Lightfall is all set to arrive on 28th February 2023. The Tweet read, “Our end begins. Destiny 2: Lightfall arrives Feb 28, 2023.”
Bungie has also discussed enough information about what the Iron Banner will feature. As per this information, Iron Banner will feature Eruption Mode during Season of Plunder. Eruption Mode is a variant of clash that offers energy boosts based on kill streaks.
As per the official rules, you will get one point and a normal amount of energy by killing your opponent. Followed by this when you get your second elimination in a row without dying you will become “Surging”.
It means, you will start to glow and with the next kill, you will start generating 10% Super energy and 20% grenade, melee, and class energy. And upon the fifth kill, you will be able to unlock ‘Primed’ which means everyone on the team will get 5% Super and 10% grenade, melee, and class energy, and you also gain 12% Super and 40% grenade, melee, and class energy per kill.
One drawback of it that you must not forget is, that you will have to score more eliminations in order to avoid exploding after 15 seconds.
A message from Bungie reads, “The core vision started with a conversation that sounded like, “What if when you went on kill streaks, Saladin shouted, ‘He’s on fire!’ and you lit on fire? And maybe when you got a kill, he shouted, ‘BOOMSHAKALAKA!’.” And from that chaotic conversation, Eruption was born.”
